I’ve been sharing a lot of chic outfits lately, so I thought it was time for something more laid-back. This is pretty much what I wear when I’m busy with mom duties. I’m not a fan of super casual looks; I prefer to wear the best clothes I have. Why settle for a plain t-shirt when you can rock a nice short dress over pants?
When I want to feel extra comfy, I pair this outfit with my white sandals, which are super comfortable. But for a slightly trendier look, comfy heels do the trick. My black heels might not be everyone’s favorite, but I like how they highlight the black elements of my outfit, including my watch band.
I believe in making use of all the clothes in my closet. So, whenever I can, I try to wear my nicest outfits that are still appropriate for the situation. Recently, my shopping has leaned towards dressier pieces, so I might be a tad overdressed for some casual mom-on-the-go moments, but I think it’s better to be a bit overdressed than underdressed.
You might have noticed my hair is even shorter now. I took some inspiration from my own tips for women over 40 and my Pinterest board and decided to try this new hairstyle. I also got another keratin treatment to control the frizz, and so far, I’m pretty happy with it.
