A while ago, Amanda Frenz, a fashion designer who recently started her own business called Error Guided, reached out to me. She has a unique concept and wanted to create something for me since she liked my style and the message of this blog.
Amanda designs custom fashion that celebrates individual customer tastes. You can describe the kind of garment you want, and Amanda will sketch some designs and share them with you.
Eco-Friendly Concept
Amanda’s process has an interesting twist. Instead of buying new fabrics, she repurposes materials found locally. She creates new clothes from fabric that would otherwise go to waste. The designs are finalized online, and then the garments are made from locally sourced materials, benefiting the local economy and reflecting the community where they’re crafted.
While I think it’s a fantastic concept, it might be challenging. It might take time to find the right discarded fabrics in the colors and materials you prefer. But if you want a unique design created in an eco-friendly way, Amanda is the one to go to.
Design Sketches
I’m currently too busy and don’t need a custom garment, so I didn’t proceed with Amanda, but I invited her to submit some designs to feature on this blog. Amanda was excited to see if she could understand my style from the blog’s content. You can find her design sketches here.
If you’re curious about what Amanda can do for you, she’s offering a free consultation and will send you some design sketches. It’s all about making you feel great in your outfit. You can reach Amanda through her website, Errorguided.com.
What do you think of Amanda’s designs? Which one is your favorite? Would you consider getting a custom-designed garment this way?
