I like to keep things real at 40+Style, which is why I don’t just show new outfits. I believe in having a smaller wardrobe filled with pieces you love that can be mixed and matched easily.
Here’s another way I styled my colorblock top and wide-cropped pants, both of which are wardrobe favorites. The top goes well with many of my clothes, and you can see it in another outfit here. I’ve worn the pants before here as well.
The top works with these pants because it’s short, which is important since the pants already shorten my legs. The shorter top gives a nicer overall silhouette. Adding mid-high heels helps lengthen the lower part of the body.
The pants can be tricky to wear, though. When I bend or sit down, I almost look like a clown! It’s a good laugh and I think fashion should be fun, so I just enjoy it.
