Lately, I’ve been really into leather. For the first time ever, I bought a leather top! I was drawn to its soft leather and sleeveless design, perfect for the warm weather in Singapore. I wore it alone, but it would look great layered under a jacket too.
The top has a unique drapy collar that adds an interesting touch, although it can be a bit tricky to drape correctly for the desired effect. I realized I need a good, uplifting bra to wear with this top (different from the one I’m wearing in the pictures) because the shiny leather draws attention to my bust. This isn’t something I’m entirely comfortable with, as I usually prefer to downplay that area, but it does give the outfit a sexy, edgy vibe.
Another nice feature is that you can leave the back half open for a different look. I paired the top with my white midi skirt from Zara. The skirt gives the outfit a more classic feel and creates a nice contrast with the edgy leather, making it suitable for a woman in her 40s like me and adding a classy touch.
