Styling Tips for Pairing Leather Jackets with Skirts

Styling Tips for Pairing Leather Jackets with Skirts

Lately, I’ve been really into leather, and even though I usually avoid buying duplicates, I couldn’t resist getting this leather jacket in two different colors.

Here’s why I love them:
They’re incredibly versatile and can be styled in many ways.
They feature cool asymmetric elements.
I enjoyed wearing jackets in The Netherlands and wanted the same experience here.
They work for Singapore’s climate too since they’re mostly unlined, making them comfortable to wear with minimal layers.
In The Netherlands, I can use them as regular jackets.
These jackets add an edgy touch to my outfits, which is exactly what I’m going for right now.
They fit perfectly and accentuate my waist.
They were affordable.

I also got a bad-ass blogger card from Suzanne Carillo, gifted by Anja over Christmas, and I feel like I need to live up to that image!

The red jacket was an easy choice. It’s not the same as the other jacket I showed you recently, which is better for winter with its darker color and unsuitable for Singapore’s weather. Red always looks good on me and brightens up my complexion. It’s perfect when I’m feeling colorful or need to liven up neutral outfits. It pairs well with white, camel, jeans, and my beloved Preen skirt, which you’ve seen several times. I love mixing and matching my clothes to find new looks.

The green jacket is similar to Greetje’s but isn’t the same. Hers is thicker and lined, while mine, like the red one, is thinner and partially unlined. I love wearing the green jacket when I want to look more edgy or powerful. It’s been a while since I’ve worn green, so it’s fun to introduce a new color to my wardrobe. It also looks fantastic with many of my white basics and pairs perfectly with my colorful Preen skirt. This combination of flirty and edgy really speaks to my style, as I like to balance out romantic looks with something tougher.

I’ve worn both jackets multiple times already, and they’re ideal for Singapore’s air-conditioned indoor spaces. I’m glad I decided to buy both!
