Chic Winter Style: The Faux Leather Dress

Chic Winter Style: The Faux Leather Dress

Here are some more outfits from my winter wardrobe. I already showed one outfit with my cream skinnies before.

The photos aren’t great since it’s tough to find willing photographers or good locations. It was too cold to shoot outside, and I have a new admiration for those bloggers who still do it in freezing weather! I couldn’t do that, so I had to settle for indoor photos.

This black faux leather short dress, which I wear as a tunic, was my fancy splurge item. I loved pairing it with my cream skinnies, which became a holiday favorite. Winter white is one of the best colors to wear in winter. It brightens things up and feels fresh amidst all the black.

I also matched the faux leather dress with my houndstooth trousers, and I adored this combo of dressy pants and an edgy top. The cobalt blue adds just the right pop of color.

For a simpler, more casual look, I wore grey trousers with my cream cable knit jumper (not so clear in the pictures). My old cream jacket worked well with this outfit for going outside.

As you can see, I wore my buckle ankle booties with everything, and I loved them! Not being used to the cold, I mostly stuck with pants this holiday. However, I did take my grey skirt out for a museum visit where my friend Greetje took some great pictures.

Stay tuned for that look as well as Greetje’s tomorrow! Which winter clothes have you enjoyed wearing this season?
