Embracing Chanel: Styling Her Legendary Jackets

Embracing Chanel: Styling Her Legendary Jackets

Yesterday, I showed you what my friends and I wore to the Chanel exhibition in The Hague. Now, let’s dive into the exhibition itself.

The exhibition highlights the life of Coco Chanel and her achievements as a designer. Here are some of her designs from the 1930s. Coco Chanel is well-known for creating the little black dress, and there are several of her creations on display. Which design do you like the most?

She made a remarkable comeback in the 1950s with the introduction of the iconic Chanel suit. After Coco Chanel passed away, other designers continued her legacy. Karl Lagerfeld took over as the brand’s creative director in 1983 and maintained that role for many years.

We had the chance to experience a bit of Coco Chanel’s style ourselves. Some of her famous jackets were available for a special photo shoot. The setup was ready with perfect lighting, so all we had to do was put on the jackets and snap some photos. Check out how they turned out!

The Chanel exhibition is being held at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, Netherlands, until February 2, 2014. What do you think? Who wore the Chanel jacket best?
