When I thought about creating a style website, I wanted to focus on older women. There’s already a ton of fashion info for younger women, but older women often get overlooked. You rarely see models over 40, and major designers don’t make many clothes for them either.
But our group is growing, and we have more energy and a big desire to look good. 40+ Style will celebrate the style of women over 40! We’ll look at and challenge some of the dressing rules for over 40, explore how to dress for different body types, find the best clothes from designers, profile stylish women over 40, and offer style courses to boost your fashion game.
Talking about fashion and style can seem shallow, but I believe looking good can really boost your self-esteem. When you feel good about how you look, you just feel better overall.

Why Focus on 40+?
40 is often the age when people tell us to cover up more. We might gain some weight or our bodies change. We get told not to wear short skirts, not to have long hair, and no sleeveless dresses. So, 40 is when we start thinking about these things. 40+Style will look at and challenge all of these ideas about how to dress after 40. But we won’t enforce strict rules. I truly believe rules can be broken and you need to find what works for you. If your best feature is your legs, why not show them off?
