A key item in my winter wardrobe was definitely the coat. There were so many beautiful options to choose from! Eventually, I decided on a simple yet distinctive coat from Zara. I didn’t want to spend a lot since I don’t typically wear winter clothes for long, but I still wanted something fun, warm, comfortable, and not black.
I didn’t need an extremely warm coat, but I wanted one that looked good with pants, skirts, and dresses. It also had to be an easy color to match with my clothes. I loved the idea of longer wrap-around coats but found them a bit overwhelming, so I chose this coat as a great alternative. It’s not too long or bulky, features a wrap-around style, and has a touch of asymmetry.
This coat turned out to be a good choice. I was able to wear it with almost all the clothes in my winter collection. Even my black blazer fit comfortably underneath. The only challenge was wearing it with bulky sweaters, which generally need a cape due to their dropped shoulders. In those cases, I found my poncho and blanket scarf very handy.
Now, I’d love to see how you wear your favorite or most versatile coat! Do you pair it with different outfits or scarves? Although we all love our practical black coats in winter, it would be fantastic to see some looks with non-black coats.
